I have completed my first year of college. It's been a wild, strange ride, and I've learned alot from it. 1. Alcohol violations suck. Don't get them. And if you do, have a story and stick to it. 2. Music is my life. Absolutley. It's a completely different world that I'm just beginning to understand, and I am now striving to learn all there is to know. 3. It's all about the low-brass! 4. Dorm food is gross, but it does it's job. 5. Beer pong should be an Olympic sport. Play five games in a row, and you'll know why. 6. Always, always, always have a back-up plan. You never know what can happen in that hour that you finish your five page paper to when you have to go print it up in class. 7. Check your grades often. Your professors are human, too. 8. No matter what happens, keep your cool. There are almost always alternatives. 9. If you're in college, you're probably gonna be broke all the time. 10. If you're broke, learn how to roll cigarettes and drink 40's. Also, if you're in Denton, Caguama 30 packs for twelve bucks are a God send. 11. Have fun, but be safe. That's just a general rule in life. 12. Get to really know the people you're living with, if you're in a dorm. They're gonna be around you all the time, so you might as well appreciate their company. 13. I like going to football games. GO MEAN GREEN! 14. Sitting in your dorm room, listening to classical music, playing Madden, and drinking High Life is and awesome way to spend your night. 15. Music Ed majors know how to party. 16. Playing baseball outisde of the dorm with no shirt on is an awesome way to show tour groups what UNT is all about, haha. 17. Don't worry so much. It's not worth it. 18. You're in college. No more high school drama. 19. Dollar menu is ALWAYS a good choice. 20. Just like Taco Cabana. And the number one thing I learned in college.... Be yourself, people will appreciate that. And if they don't, they're not worth your time. Never be ashamed of who you are, and always keep an open mind. If you do that, you'll make lasting friends, and you'll have the best memories. I wouldn't trade my first year of college for anything. I've made the best friends, had the greatest time, and I learned so, so much. Thank you to everyone who helped me out along the way. I love you guys, Drew. " I've got the world on a string, sittin' on a rainbow Got the string around my fingers" |
